From my very first meeting with Jamie and Lauren, I knew we would hit things off. They were referred to me by a wedding planner, and I was so excited to help them with their Rixey Manor wedding. Creating their invitations and decorations was a lot of fun, especially since they wanted a colorful bohemian vibe for their wedding.
The wedding itself was absolutely lovely. Jamie and Lauren wanted their wedding to be a warm, colorful celebration with friends and family. Every part of the wedding felt joyful, from the adorable flower girls to the lush, gorgeous florals.
Bohemian Decorations And Bright Place Cards
We started with a Deco Invitation suite and made it unique by adding little touches, including die-cut shapes and customized colors. Both Jamie and Lauren wanted to use bright colors for their wedding, which was the perfect reflection of their shining personalities. We used various pink shades, like rust, soft coral and blush, with rose gold and white accents.

This pink color scheme carried throughout the entire wedding, from the invitations to their centerpieces. It made for great pops of color for their Rixey Manor wedding reception. They also wanted to have keepsake place cards for all of their guests, so I made some grey acrylic name cards people could take home.

I also wanted to make sure we added in the various pink shades in a few other areas. We created a sweet welcome sign that said “Jamie & Lauren” and designed a menu in the same pink and coral colors. Jamie and Lauren were thrilled with this beautiful, cohesive color scheme for their wedding.
A Beautiful Day For A Rixey Manor Wedding
Jamie and Lauren held their intimate wedding ceremony at Rixey Manor, which was a beautiful garden venue. The greenery combined with their various floral arrangements made the entire day look lush, like springtime. The whole day felt bright and cheery!
Seeing Jamie and Lauren together was just magical. They fit together like two peas in a pod, and their joy was completely contagious. Their wedding dresses were both so beautiful, and their bridesmaids also wore different shades of rust and blush.
The wedding was beautiful, and we had great weather for their Rixey Manor wedding. Everyone was all smiles, including their sweet Golden Lab pup, who was one of the ring bearers! After the gorgeous ceremony, the brides took some time around the property to get some really lovely wedding photos.
The reception was just as wonderful, with a lovely plated reception dinner (on pink plates!) and a champagne wall with rosé and champagne on tap.
Final Thoughts
I was honored to be a part of Jamie and Lauren’s Rixey Manor wedding. While I’m always happy to use classic colors, creating something with bright, festive colors is always so much fun. Working with Jamie and Lauren was an absolute dream, and creating a fun color scheme was so rewarding.
If you have a special occasion coming up, I’d love to connect with you!
