Ali and Ryan’s Modern, Minimalist Fall Wedding

A modern, industrial Prospect House Dripping Springs wedding

It’s no surprise that, as a stationery designer, I appreciate the thoughtful art of typography. It is my passion to incorporate intentional design elements in order to communicate the style and theme of a couple’s special day. Ali reached out to me regarding her Prospect House Dripping Springs wedding and this is what she said:

“We want our wedding to be inspired by the simplicity and minimalism of the venue. We’re going to go big and vibrant with food and music, but we want to keep graphic design minimalist, typography-focused, and consistent – like a nice branded package… We’re hoping to draw inspiration from the solid color background, soft black ink, typography-focused, and thoughtful leading and kerning.”

Thoughtful typography and a minimalist aesthetic

I was thrilled to accept the beautiful challenge of making Ali and Ryan’s modern and minimalist Prospect House Dripping Springs wedding a reality. For the stationery details, we went with a very minimal aesthetic with a lot of white space and forest green accents. Ali and Ryan have a sophisticated sense of design and they both share my passion for thoughtful typography. For this reason, we created a simple layout for the beautiful type to stand out. The invitation suite for their Prospect House wedding included bold, oversized wording and playful layouts printed on luxurious white cotton stock. We continued this theme in the day-of materials. This included table numbers with bold type on white stock, escort cards, dessert signs, and menus. The menus had each guests’ name printed along the top for a sweet personal detail that also doubled as a place card.

Family-focused and detail-oriented

Ali and Ryan are a couple that enjoys having fun with their loved ones, while also incorporating meaningful family traditions, which was very apparent all throughout the day. It is easy to see how loved and adored these two are! Their wedding incorporated Jewish traditions, including tying the knot under a wooden huppah. Rosehip Flora came through with the stunning florals! The various arrangements had a loose, wildflower vibe and included unique varieties of blooms, such as ranunculus, anthurium, and proteas.

36th Street Events did an amazing job orchestrating every detail, while Cory Ryan Photography beautifully captured the modern design elements and warm festive vibe. Every table at this beautiful Austin Hill Country venue had a different floral arrangement and soft, slate-blue table runners and tapers accented the beautiful space. There was a stunning dessert table with a minimal, elegant, white buttercream cake with fall details for a very boho feel.

This Prospect House Dripping Springs wedding was one for the books! Elegant, minimalist, and beautifully designed, Ali and Ryan’s wedding vision was beautifully executed. When it was all said, done, and designed, they wanted a festive, celebratory party that everyone could truly enjoy. In my opinion, they did just that!
