Laura & Caleb’s Elegant Omni Barton Creek Resort Wedding

One of the great things about 2022 was seeing all the pandemic weddings come to fruition. So many wedding plans were put on hold to keep everyone safe! However, we’ve arrived at a sunnier season as all those wedding dreams finally come true.

Camille from Elsie Event Co., one of Austin’s best wedding planners and someone I just love collaborating with, recommended me to Laura and Caleb. We hit it off right from the start! I loved working with them to develop unique ways to announce their wedding, and together, we got a solid grasp on how they wanted their wedding to look and feel.

Announcing the Omni Barton Creek Resort Wedding

Laura and Caleb had to put their Omni Barton Creek Resort wedding on pause for over a year! But this long-awaited celebration was well worth the wait. They had plenty of wonderful ideas for their wedding design, and together we made their elegant wedding something to remember.

These two wanted to use their signature burgundy, blush, and gold colors for the invitations and stationery. Combine that with some classy modern typography, and you’ve got yourself a fantastic way to announce this union. They opted for a cute response card and details card in blush.

Needless to say, working with couples like Laura and Caleb was a dream, and creating stationery with details like this is what I live for! But we didn’t stop there – we had to think about signage and pops of color for the wedding itself.

A Long Awaited Wedding that Ended with a Bang

The grounds of this venue were absolutely gorgeous. It was amazing to see these two say their vows surrounded by a grove of live oak trees. Julie Wilhite was an outstanding photographer for this wedding, and we were both thrilled at how beautiful everything looked.

After the very sweet (and emotional) ceremony, the wedding party sat down to a lovely plated dinner. We had cute signage throughout the reception with burgundy and gold table cards and a drinks menu with some signature cocktails.

Also, I have to give some serious props to Sweet Treats Bakery for the stunning naked wedding cake they created for this Omni Barton Creek Resort Wedding. It had flecks of gold and floral accents, which complemented the rest of the decor perfectly. The overall wedding design was so cohesive, blending white florals with touches of wine, pinks, peaches and greenery.

After Laura and Caleb danced with friends and family, it was time for their big statement exit: a pyrotechnics firework display! Caleb wore a white cowboy hat, and Laura wore a beautiful white dress with a stunning shrug. It was one heck of a sendoff and incredibly well-planned by Elsie Event Co.

Final Thoughts

Even though the pandemic was an incredibly difficult time, it strengthened bonds in a way we never could have imagined. And seeing Laura and Caleb finally tie the knot after all their waiting was more emotional than I expected. It felt like they finally got the happy ending they had been waiting for.

I’d do another wedding like this in a heartbeat. Developing impactful stationery and signage that really showcase the couple’s personality is what I’m all about! And these two were a delight to work with.

If you have a wedding coming up, I’d love to hear about it.
