Alli & Sam’s Terracotta-Hued Sonoma Wedding

This beautiful Sonoma wedding took place at Abbott’s Passage Winery in Sonoma Valley. Alli and Sam wanted a fun and relaxed vineyard experience to celebrate with their friends. After having to postpone their Sonoma wedding several times due to the pandemic, their day felt truly triumphant!

Warm Shades and Neutrals at this Sonoma Wedding

Their wonderful planner, Joyfully Gathered, helped them to capture the true California chic of this vineyard style. It included details like loose and wild bouquets of deep maroon flowers and a ‘guestbook’ made of old records.

Alli’s dress was a stunning mauve color overlaid with white lace; her bridesmaids’ dresses were terracotta. We leaned into this warm and neutral color scheme with the wedding stationery. The couple went for the Color Bar Save the Dates and Color Bar Wedding Invitations. It had swooshes of watercolor in a warm golden-brown that went perfectly with their laid-back rusts and taupe shades.

Playful Details and Unique Touches

To complement their invitation suite, we carried through bold typography and watercolor details into their day-of signage and paper goods for a clean, cohesive look. For their place cards, which they attached to wine glasses with mini clothespins, we kept it very simple, with one swipe of watercolor paint and clear font.

They had so many playful little elements to their reception, including plates of plush frosted sugar cookies (and a sign that simply read “Don’t leave any crumbs”). We loved the punny sign they chose for the escort display giving away their wedding favors – jars of pickles!
