Sophie and Adam’s warm, stylish East Austin wedding is going on my all-time-faves list! This casual-yet-sophisticated fall affair planned by Bird Dog Wedding is giving me all the rustic wedding feels, while incorporating the perfect balance of modern touches throughout. I loved creating their simple, chic invitations — a custom variation of our Brush-Lettered Invitation Suite, with copper foil line detail and a rust-colored envelope (high-fives to Sophie for choosing my favorite envelope color ever…).

Austin photographer Gloria Goode captured all of the October day’s details in her warm photojournalistic style, and her portraits of the couple are jaw-dropping (as is Sophie’s amazing cutout dress, wowza – shown below). The wedding celebration has an intimate personal feel, and they even incorporated their adorable golden doodle Louie into the celebrations. How sweet is that?!
All the Fall Wedding Feels
Sophie and Adam embraced a fall wedding palette with shades of caramel, burgundy, golds, soft blush tones, warm red, and touches of dark purple. Seriously gorgeous! The colors really come through in the florals designed by Davy Gray, who created a stunning installation around one of the beautiful trees at Weather Up, an East Austin craft cocktail bar.
I collaborated with Emily from Bird Dog on the fun, unique seating chart (above), attached to a copper frame with wide black ribbon. This unexpected install combined with a vintage lounge vibe, long wooden tables,metallic chairs and other special touches to give the day a cohesive feel. We also created coordinating menus, bar signage and table numbers to tie it all together.
