The amazing creators at Simply XO Events had an inspired vision of a striking, modern wedding shoot, and the Arlo, Austin was the perfect spot for it. The Arlo venue unites luxury with cutting-edge chic. For this wedding shoot, which was all about contrasting colors and clean-edged details, the fresh white backdrop and huge windows made all the difference!

‘Mustard yellow’ is a pretty simple concept for a wedding shoot, but dedication and attention to every little detail made this so special. SoHo Catering delivered the most delicious hors d’oeuvres and cocktails in the exact vivid shade of yellow that we were working with, while Lovelily Flowers delivered artful florals in the perfect shades of goldenrod, honey, ochre, and white to create the most amazing accents.

Custom Invitations and Signage in Bold Yellow Tones

Simply XO Events reached out to us about creating some seriously special invitations, tabletop items, and signage for this perfectly planned and executed styled shoot. We had a great time designing a custom stationery suite in the bold yellow tones they were using! And the impeccable photography by the amazing Logan of The Crakes made everything glow. Her flat-lay styling of the tablescapes and invitations really made the vision for this shoot come to life.

One of the most fun parts of designing for this shoot at the Arlo, Austin, was the tabletop items and the signage. Often, these are the elements that can bring a really unique flair to a wedding. For this shoot, we put together mustard-yellow place mats that really helped to make the tables feel cohesive and put together. The seating chart sign used the signature mustard shade, but instead of a traditional rectangle, we went for an arched shape that contrasted with the Arlo, Austin’s high rectangular windows.

The bridal model wore the most stunning dress from Millia London. I love the contrast of a super fluffy, feminine-style wedding dress with a minimal modern vibe for the decor! It made sure that the whole styled shoot still felt romantic, even with the modern edge.
